Dana stared at the letter in her hand, all the blood rushing from her face. Her fingers began to tremble and the paper nearly slipped from her grip.

She sank down in the chair.

“Hey, what’s up?” her roommate Elli asked, as she walked past and slumped on the couch across from her. “You’re white as a ghost.”

“I . . . uh . . .” Dana glanced up at the slim, tall blonde who shared the small, two-bedroom apartment with her. It was a bit dumpy, but it was only a ten-minute walk from the university. “It’s from my mom.”

“Oh? What does the bitch have to say?”

Dana cringed a bit at the way Elli referred to her mom, feeling disloyal to her family for not sticking up for her, but at this precise moment, she didn’t really feel like defending her mother. And Elli was only going on the incidents she’d witnessed.

“She . . . ” Dana sucked in a deep breath. “She says I’m cut off.”

“Cut off? You mean, she won’t be giving you the money you need for you Masters?”

Dana shook her head. “She thinks it’s a waste of money and time. She thinks I should go out and get a real job, and learn to stand on my own two feet. She won’t even co-sign on another student loan.”

Dana gazed at Elli, her chest compressed under the weight of her crushed dreams. “I don’t know what to do,” she murmured helplessly.

Elli pursed her lips. “I think I have an idea, but promise me you’ll keep an open mind, because it’s a little bit crazy.”

MY THOUGHTS

***This book is ABSOLUTELY 18+. No exceptions!! This is a very dark romance with some abuse and subject matter that may bring up past emotions or memories if you have any. So decide carefully if you will read on.

As a college student living away from home, you usually come home on a weekend expecting to do laundry and eat some of mom’s cooking that you’ve been missing, right? That’s right. What you seriously don’t expect is to come home and find your father tied down in a chair at gunpoint. Talk about a rude awakening!! Being a loving daughter, like Bree is, she offers herself to trade places with her father to save him. What follows is a fast but crazy ride into the heart of the Mafia. Bree is surrounded by a whole new world and things that she never thought that she would be. But oh, the ride is a great one!! Being the first book of a new series, there is a cliffhanger at the end. But that doesn’t even matter with the box set, because you just flip the page and you’re at book 2! If you like getting down to the dark nitty-gritty…then this is for you. I loved it! 4.5 STARS!!

Inevitable

As I said in the previous review, thankfully with this box set I didn’t have to wait long to deal with the cliffhanger. Book 2 picks up right where Book 1 left us hanging. Man, if I thought the ride was crazy in Indebted, I was totally underestimating the follow-up! So many emotions that this book contained and the ones it brought out of me. I literally had times when I was so worked up because someone was being betrayed and someone else was being lied to and lying, and then so much passion and love came bubbling out, and then my heart was racing because I was so worried for someone else…..AHHHHHH!! It was nonstop! But it was worth every second! 4.5 STARS!!

Invincible

Have you ever had a relationship end and then wonder what would’ve happened if you would’ve stayed together? What if you could get a second chance at it? Well Devon and Tegan get just that. But this time around, they don’t have the chance to let their relationship just develop and see what happens. Tegan is in serious trouble and that takes precendence obviously. So with danger around and love in the air, Ms. Beck decides to then throw us for a loop or two before rounding it all out. Great journey here!! A definite 4 SOLID STAR book!!

**I am ending my reviews here for this box set as I ran out of time to finish it for the tour. But no need to fret, because there are still more books included!! By my reviews already and the synopsis, I think it’s safe to say that you need to scroll and go ahead and one-click this bad boy! It’s worth every single penny!!
