I am a full-time mom of boys, nursing student, and professional reader/reviewer. I love to read anything and everything but usually shy away from westerns. I love helping out authors, especially up and coming authors. Feel free to contact me for reviews. I will let you know a general timeline on when to expect my review. The Larson's are a group of siblings that have lost their parents, and now have to deal with the townsfolk wondering if they have special abilities...which they do. Caleb (one of the siblings), runs into a girl who left town years ago, and tingles start running wild! This book was short, as most are in anthologies, but it was great! I found 1 spelling error but other than that, I give it 4.5 STARS!!
A HINT OF HEAVEN BY NOLA CROSS'
In had never heard of a pet psychic before reading this book, but I think it's a very sweet idea. The thought that our pets DO move on after death, and are able to come back and communicate with us is a good one. With this in mind, reading A Hint of Heaven is a must. A solid 4 STARS!
CUPID AND CUPCAKES BY JACQUIE UNDERDOWN
A modern day Cupid that own a cupcake shop. Her psychic power is being able to see people's true love. But, will she ever find her own? The writing in this book was very good and the story flowed without a hitch! I would love it if this were to turn into a series! 4.5 STARS!
SOMETHING IN THE WATER BY LISA KNIGHT
In this book, we have a cute little story about a woman that had an extremely bad childhood, and a divorced man that has seen powers before even meeting her. This story flowed well and the kids' antics were a definitely funny addition into the story. 4 STARS!
INDIGO STARS BY STEPHANIE BECK
Here we have a couple of different powers, the oncology department, and a sexy Doctor. What more can you ask for?? In this story, the writing seem a bit stilted at first, but started flowing better as we went on the journey. Some sentences seemed to be worded as someone who has learned English as a second language. But, as the story continued, the wording also got better. The story line was great though! This is another one of these books that I would love to continue following the characters in another book or two. If the flow and wording from the middle-ish onward would've been throughout the entire book, I would've given a rating of 4.5 stars, but as it is...I give 3.5 STARS!

Danielle E. Shipley's first novelettes told the everyday misadventures of wacky kids like herself. Or so she thought. Unbeknownst to them all, half of her characters were actually closeted elves, dwarves, fairies, or some combination thereof. When it all came to light, Danielle did the sensible thing: packed up and moved to Fantasy Land, where daily rent is the low, low price of her heart, soul, blood, sweat, tears, firstborn child, sanity, and words; lots of them. Shipley has also been known to spend short bursts of time in the
real-life Chicago area with the parents who home-schooled her and the two
little sisters who keep her humble. When she's not living the highs and lows of
writing, publishing, and all that authorial jazz, she's probably blogging about
it atEverOnWord.wordpress.com.
This is her third appearance in a Xchyler anthology, following the
paranormal "Two Spoons" in Legends
and Lore, and "Reality As We Know It" in fantasy collection The Toll of Another Bell. Other
publications include Inspired (a
novel), and a series of fairy-tale retelling mash-ups, The Wilderhark
Tales.

In the meantime, she explores the bright side of being human by writing dark fiction.
