ELDER

DEFY

Seventeen year old Tate is about to make her parents' dreams come true. Unfortunately for her, their dreams foretell her death. With the help of a shadowy male named Zachariah, can she defy her fate?

SHIFT

Having the ability to shapeshift, Sophia is familiar with change, but even she struggles with the changes bombarding her life. When she’s thrown into the hunt for the Elder Scroll, she’ll have to overcome her insecurities...or two of the beings she loves most will die.

ELDER

On the journey for the Elder Scroll, Clara Kate has endured heartbreak, terror, pain and loss. She’s even been brought to the brink of death. She thinks things can't get any worse. She's wrong.

Now read on for an excerpt from "I Do" (an Estilorian Short Story) and find out how to buy it today!

During their travels, Tate had met other Mercesti like Zachariah and his chosen class leaders. But then there were Mercesti like these, she thought sourly, bringing up her nunchucks to block a slicing sword. Mercesti who refused to fall in line with Zachariah’s leadership. Mercesti who thought they should have the right to take anything they wanted, including the lives of any Estilorians who got in their way. Mercesti who stood between her and her wedding day.

This group was larger than most of the others had been, Tate observed as she used Tiege’s bent knee to launch herself at another opponent. They were also more trained and organized.
Their leader was a tall, dark- skinned male named Cain. Zachariah had barely approached Cain and introduced himself before the aggressive male and his followers raised their weapons to fight. It seemed they had already heard of Zachariah’s ascension to elder and had been seeking him out to challenge him. Now, Cain and Zachariah were battling across the forest clearing where the combat had initiated.

Fighting this group was the last thing Tate had wanted, though. She had even asked Zachariah to pass them by. After all, she, Zachariah, Tiege, Ariana, and the Mercesti who had been invited to the wedding were on their way to the protected area surrounding her family’s home. Her mother and aunts were all waiting for them to arrive to begin the celebration.

Her stubborn avowed could not be swayed, however. Tate wasn’t actually that upset about the delay. She was proud of Sparky’s determination to clean up his class and integrate them with the nine other Estilorian classes. But lord, she was tired.

She had lost count of the number of small battles they had waged since Eirik’s defeat. It felt as though they finished one battle, got a few hours of sleep, and headed on to the next. Yes, there were days when they met up with friendly Mercesti and took some time to introduce themselves and get to know them, but those moments hardly made up for the time they were fighting.

We’ll wrap this up soon enough, Beautiful.

Tate heard her avowed’s thought as she spun out of the way of an axe’s downward swing. Her gaze lifted to Zachariah’s across clearing. She realized she had unintentionally broadcasted her thoughts to him.

I know, Sparky, she returned.

If she could keep herself focused, she privately added.

Eva Simone

The final book in the Enchanted Series

Desired and Dominated

CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE NOVEL

Synopsis
Sofia Mantovani is my best friend’s younger sister, and the girl I’ve been in love with for 8 years.  She has no idea who or what I really am.  I hide it, forcing myself to ignore my deepest desire to dominate her.  Being around her is the sweetest form of torture, but she can never be mine.  I can never drag her into my world.  To her I will always be Nate, but that’s not who I really am…

I am Master Callaghan.
Nate Callaghan is my brother’s best friend, and the man who has owned me since the moment we met.  I’ve never told him how I feel, or who I really am.  If he knew the darkest parts of me, he would never look at me the same way again, but something about him calls to me.  I crave his control.  I always have.  I know him for who he really is…
I was born to be his Submissive.
When a single moment of weakness brings Nate and Sofia together, their lives are forever changed.  A cataclysmic joining of two souls.  They are drawn to each other in ways that they cannot ignore, but when life takes an unforeseen turn, can Nate save her from the one thing that threatens to destroy them?
Can he save Sofia…from herself?

*My Review*

*I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review*
This is the first book of Eva Simone's that I have read and I have to say that I am completely blown away! I knew that Ms. Simone researched this book with a real dominate/submissive pair, to make sure that she had the real inside scoop. Boy, is it obvious!! There are so many insights into the mind of both the dominate and submissive in this book, that I would not have ever gotten anywhere else (well, unless I were to become part of the lifestyle myself). It was amazing to read these insights and learn from this unique perspective.

I have to say that there are so many ups and downs in this book as far as emotions go, that I was ran through them all right along with the characters. I lost count how many times my heart broke and I cried with, and for, Nate and Sophia. At the same time, I was able to experience a love so strong, and the amazing bond between a dominate and his submissive.

Just a warning, if you have the ability of connecting with the characters in a book...have tissues ready!!

I am so glad that I was able to have the opportunity to read this book! Even though I have not read the others in the series, I was not lost in the story at all. I know that I will definitely be picking up the first two in this trilogy, to be able to experience the rest of the world that Eva Simone created.

I hope that you will make the wise choice in getting a copy of this book, and I promise you that you will NOT regret it! This has become my favorite book read this year!! Very good job Ms. Simone!

BOOK 3 IN THE "YOU LOVED ME" SERIES
BY: EVIE HARPER
RELEASED ON JULY 28, 2015

Synopsis:

She’s no stranger to love and loss…
By age eighteen, Alexa Kingsley had lost everyone. Only Joey, the lonely boy next door, remained. He’d clung to Alexa like a lifeline through years of abuse at the hands of his father, and she vowed to protect him as best she could. Alexa thought Joey was the one person who’d always be there—until the day he left her as well. Finally forced to go it alone, Alexa finds this latest loss may hurt worst of all.

He’s no stranger to lack of love…
Joseph O’Connor was every bit the villain his father trained him to be, his young heart twisted into something ugly, corrupted. But his father underestimated the girl next door, miscalculated the impact Lexi would have on Joey’s life, the spark she ignited that eventually, despite all odds, grew to an inferno of hope. To reclaim her, Joey must first become a man Lexi can be proud of…the kind of man she deserves.

Amidst a shadowy world of guns and drugs, will Joey’s ultimate sacrifice—a declaration of love from a man who was never shown any at all—be enough to finally set him free?

The Key (The True Reign Series Book 1) by Jennifer Anne Davis

Book Synopsis:

Within these pages lie kingdoms with castles and princes who fall in love with fair maidens, but make no mistake−this is no fairytale.

His father's kingdom is on the brink of upheaval and at the center of it all is an ordinary girl who could be the key to its undoing. When faced with the ultimate choice, will he choose the girl he's falling in love with or the kingdom he has sworn to protect?

An ordinary girl with an extraordinary past... All she wants is to be free. What she doesn't realize is that freedom comes with a price she can't afford to pay. She's forced to accept the proposal of a prince she despises, even though her heart belongs to someone else... his brother.

Seventeen-year-old Rema lives in a brutal kingdom where travel between regions is forbidden, people are starving, and looking at someone the wrong way can mean death. Nineteen-year-old Darmik is the king's son and Commander of the King's Army. He spends his days roving the island, doing his father's bidding and trying to maintain control over the people.

When a chance encounter throws Rema and Darmik together, they share an instantaneous connection, but any sort of relationship between them is strictly forbidden. Darmik's brother, the Crown Prince, notices Darmik's interest in Rema and, in a calculated, political move, blackmails her. Faced with an impossible choice, Rema is forced to sacrifice her heart in order to save her family.

As Rema is taken to the palace with the Crown Prince, Darmik confronts the growing rumor that a legitimate blood heir to the throne exists and is trying to overthrow Darmik's family. In Darmik's quest to hunt down and kill the threat, he discovers that nothing is as it seems. Locked in the king's castle, Rema finds herself a key player in a massive power struggle. When Darmik shows up, she's not sure if she can trust him. The line between friends, enemies, and loyalty becomes blurred. As truths are unlocked, Rema understands that she just might be the key to finding the rightful heir and restoring peace to the kingdom... if she can manage to stay alive long enough.

Audio Length: 8 Hours 51 Minutes

My Review:

This is book 1 of 3 and is not a standalone book. The entire

series is available so there’s no waiting for the next in the

 series!

I listened to this book on audio and the first thing that I

noticed about the book is that I had to slow down the

narration speed to half-speed. The narrator, Michelle

Michaels, was speaking pretty fast and I had a hard time

keeping up with her at first. She has a very good accent for

 this story, just talks fast.

The book starts right into the middle of a big, bad situation.

You have a King dying, a Queen sending her daughter away

to try to survive while she loses her life, a trusted man of the

court running off with the infant Princess. It is pretty much off

and running from the beginning. Things slow down a bit after

the book jumps 17 years to the future.

We now have a young woman who has a life with her Aunt

and Uncle and her best friend, Bren that she can out race on

a horse every time. I’m not going to put any spoilers in here,

since I hate it when people do that to me, but things start to

go up and downhill quickly for Rema.

She then meets a couple of Princes, one of which is

awesome for a time, the other is a jerk from the get-go. At

this point, there is love, betrayal, political games, dismissals,

dungeons, rebels, and a cliff-hanger ending. Thankfully, book

2 “Red” is already out and we won’t have to be beating our

head against the wall over the cliffhanger, but it is still there.

Fair warning! Buy book 2 before finishing book 1.

When it comes to rating, I rate the narration of the story

about 3.5 STARS but the story overall I will give a GOOD 4

STARS!!

Visions (The Mystical Encounter #1) by Kimberly Readnour

*I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review *

This is the first book that I have read from Kimberly Readnour and I have to say that I was very impressed! I felt so bad for Heather at the start of this book at how rejected she was for having such a useful gift. Once she got involved in a very heart wrenching situation, she showed her strength. The book as a whole was awesome and all the characters were well rounded. I can't wait to find out what happens in the next one!! I give this book a solid 5 STARS!!

Book Synopsis from Amazon:
Heather Reiner is not your typical teenager. Her abilities reach far beyond the norm, and she’s just beginning to discover the possibilities.

Growing up different from her peers has not been easy. Ridiculed by classmates, Heather moves to another state, but soon realizes she can’t run from a problem that begins within.

A guy from her new school, Barry, is captivated the first time he sees her. Determined to know her better, he learns her layers of complication run deep. With persistence, he chips away at her shield until each protective layer starts unveiling itself.

Heather wants a chance to be normal, but secrets never stay hidden forever. They reveal themselves when least expected. Is normalcy obtainable, or will the mystery about herself be discovered? And if discovered, will Barry be like everyone else and turn away?

Visions is book one of a young adult mystery thriller trilogy.

About the Author:

Kimberly Readnour from Amazon:
I have always enjoyed reading books, but within the last five years discovered my passion for writing. Ever since childhood, I imagined writing a novel, but never took the time to pick up a pen. Oops, showing my age... I mean laptop. When my daughter reached her teenage years, I found my reason to start composing those stories.

I worked for fifteen years as a Registered Nurse before hanging-up my stethoscope. Now, I run my own business while continuing to write during any downtime.

I'm blessed with a wonderful husband and two children. The dynamics in our household changed when my oldest left for college, but I can't say it was bad. Different, but definitely not bad. Each stage of life has been amazing, as to which I'm truly grateful.
